To assess the learning levels of the children according to
the learning outcomes developed, NCERT will conduct a National
Achievement Survey (NAS) on census basis for the year 2016-17. The
survey will be conducted for the students of classes 1 to 8 of
Chandigarh schools. The Union ministry of human resource and
development (MHRD) sent the guidelines to the UT
administration on Friday asking for feedback. The learning gaps will be identified at the school level to provide feedback to students and schools. A framework for interventions will be developed and implemented for improving teaching and learning in the schools.
