Travel through the plant life cycle and explore how seeds grow into flowers. Investigate the process through hands-on seed dissection and worm inquiry. In addition, learn the process of pollination by identifying the parts of a flower.
Major Concepts to Be Explored:
Students will begin to describe the cycle from seed to plant, identify what plants need to survive, identify the new plant, seed coat, and food storage part of the seed. They will be able to identify the parts of a flower and describe why worms are important to the growth of plants.

- K.P.2.1: Classify objects by observable physical properties (including size, color, shape, texture, weight, and flexibility).

- 1.L.2.1: Summarize the basic needs of a variety of different plants (including air, water, nutrients, and light) for energy and growth
- 2.L.2.1: Identify way in which plants and animals closely resemble their parents in observed appearance and ways they are different.
